Buyer Mission for Textile Machinery from Denizli Exporters Association

Denizli Exporters Association organized a buyer mission for textile machinery sector on August 24, 2023 at the 4th EGE Textile, Garment Machinery, Textile Chemicals and Textile Printing Technologies Fair.

A buyer mission was organized by Denizli Exporters Association at the 4th Aegean Textile, Apparel Machinery, Textile Chemicals and Textile Printing Technologies Fair held in Denizli between 23-26 August 2023.

40 buyers from Pakistan and Uzbekistan visited the facilities on August 25th, 2023, within the scope of the buyer mission. The delegation was then hosted at the premises of Denizli Exporters Association.

DENİB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu, evaluating the buyer mission program for the textile machinery sector, stated the following:

"As you know, in 2022, exports of machinery and components sector increased by up to 40 percent and reached 77,3 million dollars, ranking among our most remarkable sectors. We see that the share of the sector in our total exports is approximately 2 percent according to current data. In 2022, 310 Denizli companies from the machinery and components sector exported to 106 countries. In the January-July period of 2023, 43,7 million dollars of machinery exports were realized with an increase of 7,3 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the textile machinery sector, one of the sub-groups of the machinery and components sector, 8,3 million worth exports dollars were realized from Denizli in 2022. There was a 12,4 percent increase compared to 2021. The top 3 countries with the highest exports are; Egypt with 42 percent, Pakistan with 30 percent and Uzbekistan with 12,5 percent market share.

In the January-July period of 2023, 3,4 million worth of exports were achieved by Denizli in the textile machinery sector. The first 3 countries were Egypt, Uzbekistan and Russia respectively.

As Denizli Exporters Association, within the scope of the buyer mission, we held B2B meetings with of our 13 member companies and nearly 40 buyers invited from Pakistan and Uzbekistan on the second day of the fair for textile machinery.

Our guests visited premises and were hosted in our Association's building following the B2B meetings, during which, bilateral cooperation opportunities were evaluated by exchanging views.

We will continue our work in line with our sustainable export target with awareness of close communication between our members and international buyers."
